Deceiver of Fools
Had a 3-tabling session of about an hour or so, maybe a bit longer. I hit some good hands, made some plays and as far as I'm concerned, correct decisions. I pushed some deeper stacks off their hands and stacked a few lower stacks with good hands I hit at good times. I figured, instead of bringing out the whole histories, I'm going to post a few nice hands I had today. There weren't really many hands I lost too much money in, so here's a few hands:
How it all started
Seat 1: matman549 ($20 in chips)
Seat 2: S.S.LAZIO ($35.75 in chips)
Seat 3: bluesbro242 ($175.90 in chips) 62/35.5/1.9 after 70 hands
Seat 5: MarkSKI77 ($64.20 in chips)
Seat 6: Muhweli ($53.60 in chips)
MarkSKI77: posts small blind $0.25
Muhweli: posts big blind $0.50
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to Muhweli [3c 3d]
Mister Tiu leaves the table
matman549: folds
S.S.LAZIO: folds
bluesbro242: raises $1.50 to $2
MarkSKI77: folds
Muhweli: calls $1.50
Calling here for obvious set value against a deeeep stack. I didn't have much of a read of him at this point, but deep stack USUALLY means that the player isn't complete schmuck. Although later on turned out that he was a bit of just that.
*** FLOP *** [7d Js 6c]
Muhweli: checks
bluesbro242: bets $2
This bet has CONTINUATION BET written all over it. It's about half the pot and the flop isn't particularly scary. He could easily have Ax, KQ, KT or whatever.
Muhweli: raises $4 to $6
Thus, I raise, sensing weakness.
bluesbro242: folds
And turns out I was correct.
Muhweli collected $7.85 from pot
This is a follow-up to the first one
Seat 1: matman549 ($15.90 in chips)
Seat 2: S.S.LAZIO ($18.80 in chips)
Seat 3: bluesbro242 ($190.35 in chips) 61.84/35.71/1.90 after 76 hands
Seat 4: hard54 ($29.90 in chips)
Seat 5: MarkSKI77 ($59.85 in chips)
Seat 6: Muhweli ($54.90 in chips)
MarkSKI77: posts small blind $0.25
Muhweli: posts big blind $0.50

Dealt to Muhweli [Qh Ad]
matman549: folds
S.S.LAZIO: folds
bluesbro242: raises $1.50 to $2
He makes the same raise again. He has a large stack and is making a lot of these raises in the average. His PFR after 76 hands in the table was 35.53%, so that gives some idea how much he was raising.
hard54: folds
MarkSKI77: calls $1.75
Muhweli: calls $1.50
I call as I don't have respect for his raises. And I have position on the guy who calls and might actually have something.
*** FLOP *** [Qs Kh 4s]
MarkSKI77: checks
Muhweli: checks
bluesbro242: bets $3
He leads out quite weakly. In the previous hand I saw that one represented weakness. He was just making it to win the pot right there. That time I won it right away by raising.
MarkSKI77: folds
Muhweli: raises $5 to $8
So I raise here with second pair. I'm sceptical about his hand.
bluesbro242: calls $5
He calls. He probably remembers that I did to him before (In fact, might've done it to him twice before this. At least once). So this might be a bit of frustration call, or maybe he hit the queen as well.
*** TURN *** [Qs Kh 4s] [7d]
Muhweli: bets $12
This bet is somewhat valuebettish looking bet although it's purpose is to be a semi-bluff, preferably to win the pot right here as it has gained some size with the action so far. If he calls this one, I will check and maybe call a small bet on the river unimproved, maybe even just toss it.
bluesbro242: folds
Muhweli collected $20.95 from pot
He folds it and I take it down. I'm quite sure this was good way to play this in majority of cases against such opponents.
I proceeded to take down a few more pots of this guy in the span of my sessions, pretty much the same way, when he bet differently, ie. usually more, I just tossed it.
Would you check this river?

*** FLOP *** [Qd Ad 8h]

Muhweli: bets $2
Continuation bet obviously. I figured he could've called me without an ace.
j stutter: calls $2
*** TURN *** [Qd Ad 8h] [3h]
j stutter: checks
Muhweli: bets $4
Gives me the best hand nearly certainly. However, brings another flushdraw on board.
j stutter: calls $4
*** RIVER *** [Qd Ad 8h 3h] [Kd]
j stutter: checks
Muhweli: checks
Kd filled every possible almost draw out there, play it weak, play it safe. :D
My thoughts were that he probably has JT or a flush draw, king being the worst card in the deck for me. I could get paid of by an ace, but I couldn't call too big of a raise on that kind of board, so I decided to play it safe. I won't post the result yet, before I getting some feedback on the check.
I exploited similar weak bet = weak hand => reraise strategy on other table as well. This one had bought in for full stack and I had no doubt he could laydown something like unimproved AK (surprisingly many can't).
My best table doin' good

*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to Muhweli [Jd Ac]
Darthporn: raises $1.50 to $2
Muhweli: calls $2
I was actually thinking of raising here and with sooooted AJs, I probably would've, but I opted to call to see a good or non-threatening flop.
j stutter: calls $1.75
jvs2: folds
*** FLOP *** [4s 5d 3d]
j stutter: checks
Darthporn: bets $2
Again, it has continuation bet written all over it, as obviously the flop didn't help him. The only thing he could have that he could call with is an overpair.
Muhweli: raises $5 to $7
j stutter: folds
Darthporn said, "you hit hte set"
Wrong.
Darthporn: folds
j stutter said, "****ing AKsuited blows my nuts"
Nope, it was the best hand probably.
Muhweli collected $10 from pot
It's ridiculous how much of these weak bets players do and you can often take them down by raising with nothing. Generally I want to have outs, even if they do call me. If they raise, it's usually quite easy fold. Calling would give them freecard and there's no need to let them have the initiative in the hand, especially if you are fairly confident that you can take the pot down, while it's still small. Bluffing big pots at these limits generally ends up in tears.
Okay and one more play which is probably debatable:

Okay so here's why I did it. a) he was minraising pretty much every hand. He minraised preflop, he minbet flop, he minbet turn and he minbet river. Rarely he bet more and when he did, I happened to have a hand, raised and he folded. He was doing pretty well with this strategy. In fact, some of the players folded to his minbets on the river on like $5 pots, getting 10-to-1. I guess those were draws, but c'mon. My overbet was mainly to a) show him that don't minraise if you don't wanna play and perhaps, give me a bit of a loose-cannon image as many of the short stacks had died away from the table. b) Get a call from a hand that I can beat. I doubt he had AA/KK, and otherwise, I'm coinflip at worst. I figured I could get call from a bad ace as he was playing a lot of hands, making lots of bad calls (like calling me down with 32 on AJ873 board). So I made huge overbet knowing that it might do bad for my value as in not getting the maximum out of it. But I did.
Yea so this is not what I do, I very rarely do it and I wasn't expecting a call. Gooood image for meh. Anyway, the session was shortish and I didn't have much room to make mistakes as I wasn't in many uncomfortable situations. I made a few good reads in my opinion and raked a nice deal of decent sized pots. I did stack some small stacks with hands like TPTK+flushdraw against their TPbaaaaaadK and it ended up working fine.
Result for cashgames today
Hands played: 226
Result for the day: +$90
Yesterday, I played a few SnGs, ending up something like $20-$30 up from those in the end (couple of $22 ones and the rest $11 ones. I was OOM in most, won one of the $22 ones).
I might play more Sngs today, but I have other stuff to do so I might not. I wish I could say I want to get to uncomfortable situations in hands that are more debatable, but I'm fine with this too. I think overall I managed to avoid those situations to the best I could and not overplaying bad or marginal hands.
